The coming Sat is going to be a big day for the Jews. It's the Yom Kippur or Day of Atonement, meaning it's a day they get right with God and repent from their sins against the Lord. Therefore, the Jews fast and pray from sun down on Fri to sun down on Sat. To break fast after the 3rd star shows up in the sky to make sure that it's the night time.
our sins shall be made as white as snow (Is. 1:18) so Jews proclaim.
I decided to celebrate with my Jewish friends this Sat.since the day of Atonement means eternal life for Christians. what a blessing that Christ die for our sins and paid it once and for all. It calls for a mega celebration. Unlike the Jews, we don't have to find atonement every year, we've been made right with God by the blood of Christ and own an address in heaven! We're indeed forgiven from our sins and shall be made as white as snow!
